Medicare & Insurance Rebate
To look up the rebate amount you can claim back with Medicare, OSHC insurance (for international students) or private health insurance, please refer to the information sheet below.

For standard sessions: your continuous counselling session with a psychologist/clinical psychologist can be covered from 50% to 60%, up to 10 sessions per year.

Please bring your Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, and the GP’s Referral Letter (addressed to Mindspace) to your appointment. You will also need your OSHC policy number if you’re an international student, or your Medicare number.
*If you are covered by OSHC or another private health insurance, we can provide you with a receipt after each session. You may then submit a reimbursement claim through your insurance company’s website or mobile app.
Please note that the rebate amount and eligibility depend on your specific insurance plan and the counsellor’s registration details. We recommend confirming with your insurer in advance whether counselling sessions are claimable under your policy, and what documents are required (they may request a GP referral and the official receipt).
