
Kefu Xie

Kefu is a registered psychologist with experience working with adults, youth and families. He has worked therapeutically in clinical, justice, and education settings. Before entering his training in Clinical Psychology, he has also worked in the community, supporting individuals with mental health issues, disabilities and drug and alcohol issues for over seven years.
Kefu received supervised training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-focused CBT. He has undertaken further training and conducted program evaluation in Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT). He is passionate with an eclectic approach that is tailored to individual needs and based on empirical evidence. He adopts a collaborative, non-judgmental, and empathetic approach to working with clients. His areas of interest include depression, anxiety, substance-related issues, and trauma.
Through life experience and professional training, Kefu developed cultural competency in working with people from diverse backgrounds. He understood the importance of relationship, community and identity in therapeutic work. Kefu is proficient in both English and Mandarin.
